
You probably didn’t know that these common sayings came from the Bible!
Things our culture says and golden rules that we thought were unwritten, are found tucked away in scripture.
People who’ve never read the Bible can recognize these everyday sayings.
Unbelievers have undoubtedly been taught or have taught a moral lesson from some of these sayings, not knowing they came from the LORD Himself!
These sayings were passed down from generations of believers who let God’s word be the lamp in their lives, giving those around them advice straight from God’s word.
Wise men and women who poured out the wisdom of scripture in what they spoke during everyday conversations!
Today, culture sees these phrases as cliche words of advice; however, these simple words are soaked with the purest of wisdom.
These words are so deeply embedded in our society because they have always held the capability of unparalleled impact!
This is because they came directly from the Creator and LORD of all!
I picked out 10 sayings, thought there are plenty more, and I included the scripture that they came from.

Pride Comes Before the Fall

Thorn in My Side
